• Everything remains the same, but with an even faster speed than our other service offerings. You will still get symmetrical upload and download speeds. Think of it like opening additional lanes on a crowded highway: more vehicles (devices/users) can access the highway (Internet), and the flow of traffic (speed) moves faster due to less congestion.

• Multi-Gig speed service is a great solution in the homes of serious online gamers, members who enjoy live-streaming entertainment, members who have large families with many connected devices, and those with work-from-home needs.
• With Multi-Gig Internet, more users and devices can access your network simultaneously without experiencing delays or slowed speeds. Whether that’s operating security systems, video conferencing, downloading large files, playing video games online, or streaming your favorite shows and movies – Multi-Gig service will ensure you have all the bandwidth you need.

• Currently, there aren’t too many individual devices that are capable of reaching speeds beyond 1 Gbps. However, a higher speed gives your network more bandwidth – which can help prevent slowdowns during large file loads or while multiple devices are running simultaneously.

Multi-Gig service allows multiple bandwidth-intensive activities to occur at the same time without slowing down the rest of the systems. Even with more advanced devices and heavier Internet use, multi-gig subscribers can expect faster speeds compared to single gigabit service.

No. This will not affect our existing residential packages. The 2 and 3-gigabit speeds will be added to the current packages. Our current packages, including the Multi-Gig packages, are 250 Mb for $50, 1GB for $80, 2GB for $110, and 3GB for $140.

When we launched services back in May of 2020, we delivered only the best and latest technology to our members. That commitment remains unchanged in 2023. As we continue to build out new phases 4 and 5, we will be deploying the next generation of fiber equipment to these locations and now be able to offer Multi-Gig services.

Multi-Gig services will initially be offered to those included in Phase 4 & 5 locations. Multi-Gig services will also start to become available in some new construction areas from our original Phases 1 through 3. After capacity for additional growth is reached, we will only install Multi-Gig capable equipment going forward. We feel this is the most fiscally responsible approach for our cooperative, as the newer equipment will have a longer lifespan in our fiber network.

We recognize the need and desire to deliver the same services to all our membership, and ultimately, that is our goal. At this time, we cannot provide a definitive timeline for when Multi-Gig services will be available in our original areas. There are many factors that will affect this timeline, such as differences in engineering, design, and compatibility between the Multi-Gig technology and the original systems.
