CEMC/Cumberland Connect Celebrates Opening of New Clarksville Annex
We’re excited to share a huge milestone for CEMC/Cumberland Connect! On August 22, we officially opened the doors to our new Clarksville Annex with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by employees, community leaders, and local officials.

This new space is a reflection of the growth our fiber project has made possible. Since Cumberland Connect launched over five years ago, the demand for high-speed fiber internet has fueled tremendous growth across CEMC. That growth created new opportunities, new jobs, and ultimately the need for more room to keep serving our members well.
Located at 1820 Ashland City Road in Clarksville, the annex houses about 40 employees with space to expand in the future. While the building is not open to the public, it serves as an important office and warehouse space to support our work behind the scenes. Most importantly, it gives our team the tools and capacity to continue building and supporting the services our members count on every day. Watch our new Clarksville Annex come to life in the timelapse video below.
A special highlight of the building is the Charles David Morgan, Sr. Community Center, named in honor of a long-time board member whose leadership and dedication helped shape our cooperative. The space will not only serve as a modern meeting room but also stands as a reminder of the cooperative values that guide everything we do.
As part of the celebration, three of our lineworkers were also recognized for their recent volunteer mission to Guatemala, where they helped bring electricity to two remote villages for the first time. Their service is a powerful reminder of what it means to be part of a cooperative: always working together to serve others and improve lives, whether here at home or around the world.
The opening of the Clarksville Annex represents a step forward in our commitment to the members we serve — one that ensures CEMC and Cumberland Connect are ready to meet today’s needs while preparing for tomorrow’s opportunities.
